Communities Deciding Their Own Development

TDF’s Participatory Grant Making Model ensures that communities themselves decide how resources are allocated. By combining grassroots proposals, transparent voting, and revolving funds or grants, RDF empowers citizens to lead development in ways that are authentic, inclusive, and accountable.

Community Led Proposals

  • Farmers, youth groups, women’s organizations, cooperatives, and NGOs submit proposals
  • Focus areas include agro-industrialisation, tourism, mineral beneficiation, and innovation
  • Validated through Identity Centre & Grassroots Certification for authenticity

Transparent Voting & Selection

  • Projects presented during monthly OSC forums
  • Citizens vote openly to ensure fairness and inclusivity
  • Voting records documented and published for accountability

Revolving Funds & Grants

  • Selected projects supported through revolving funds or direct grants
  • Revolving funds provide affordable financing for farmers, youth, and cooperatives
  • Funds are recycled through repayments for long-term sustainability
  • Grants support seed capital and community-wide initiatives
  • All allocations are transparent and community-driven

Quality Assurance & Monitoring

  • Community-led satisfaction mechanisms evaluate projects
  • Feedback loops ensure real impact and accountability
  • Results documented annually through OSC Delegates Lists & Symposium Reports
